A few years ago I purchased a bow from a new bowyer. Its a long bow 60 inches 57" at 28. I shot alum, carbon, wood arrows. Split finger, 3fingers under. And had other people try it and the same arrows evey where except where you want them. The person who made the bow is no longer making bow says he has no time. It is a beautiful looking bow but I want a shooter. Is there any bowyers out there who could maybe fix this problem I would also like the hand grip a bit smaller.

Any old stick will work for a bow. It's the arrow that has to be close to perfect. Ishi, the last Yana indian, said something close to that.
If the grip doesn't fit, than that could be causing you some grief, but most experienced archers can shoot any bow with the right arrow.
I just don't want you to be dis-appointed in what you get if you decide to pay someone to "fix" it.
I agree with Marty. All bows are inherently accurate. It is usually the arrow or the nut behind the string that are bad.
Will you post pics of the bow; braced and how the string lines up on the handle?
I'm paraphrasing, but Gary Davis once said no bow is inherently inaccurate. I believe he meant you can still shoot a bow accurately, even if it's not the best tillered, or the limbs are a little out of time, etc. I'd get a test kit of different shafts and see if I could tune it.
What kind of bow is it?

Have you tried moving the nock point up and down at 1/8 inch increments? That's the first step in tuning to get good arrow flight. You should be able to find a point where the arrow doesn't bounce up and down much( will still probably wiggle side to side) then you can work on side to side my changing brace height of string by twisting more to increase distancs from handle to string, or untwisting to reduce. You may also have to change arrow head weight, arrow length or arrow spine (different arrow) to get good flight and therefore good potential accuracy. Good luck, Kirk

I did talk to another person that had purchased a recurve from the same individule that made my long bow. He told me his recurve is now just a wall hanger. Like I said before it is a beautiful bow and Im willing to pay someone to fix if its possible.
