Here's a little 60" 50# @26" osage bow, the stave wasn't very wide or thick, so I ended up with a bow that is 1 1/8" wide at the fades tappered to 3/8" tips, and the handle is pretty shallow too. The belly has a nice semi-stacked "D" shape to it. I really like the way this baby shoots, If I do say so my self. I put a couple of short copperheads on as well, thanks again Chuck. I tried something different for finish this time, a lot of guys do this and now I see why. I put on 6 coats of Tru-Oil and two coats of Defthane satin spray, what a nice finish you get.

Wow, that does look good Dano
60 inches eh... gettin into longer bows these days Dano? ;)
Thanks Paul, yep a tad longer anyways.
real nice looking bow Dano!!
Always nice to see the skins put to such good use, glad they worked for you. I'm thinkin that bow has got DEAD PIG wrote on it...
That is one great looking bow.
Excellent!
Very nice!
Dano,
That sure does look great. I really like the way you did the skin stopping short of the tip.
Rick
Thanks guy's, Chuck you just keep thinkin' :bigsmyl:
Excellent job. I love your bows. Do you have a 26" draw? I have over 29. So I envy your short bows.
From the looks of it, I bet you could go shorter.
Thanks Mark, on a good day I have a 26" draw. :D It's got to be a good stave to go short, this one had some drying checks in the handle that I worried about, super glue seemed to cure them, but ya never know. 60" is still a decent length.
You are an amazing craftsman Dano!! :notworthy:
Another cool little bow, Dano. I love the way you end your skins. 60" is about right for an almost 26" draw.
Wow, the skin backing looks amazing. Great job!
what an awesome lookin bow,i admire and envy your skill as a bowyer :banghead:
I recently got some Broad Band copperheads, they are the rarest sub species following Trans Pecos, guess what...they are going to be headed your way..
Dang that did turn out nice Dano.
Are you gonna get to hunt whitetails or anything this year. I don't reckon I know what they got in Nevada, but figure you could get an invite to somewhere real. You can come to the MidSouth for sure, if you got appetite for such big travel.
You all are too kind, thanks. Chuck you are the man!!
David I appreciate the invite, the only thing I hunt nowa days is bow wood. :bigsmyl: I will be headed that way next year for the Classic, you might have to put up with me, then.
dano, dano, dano
why is this little bow so handsome?
Nick
Dano, Im gonna take off the whole week and spend at the classic. Hoping I can make a shootable bow for the challenge. Sure hope you can make it.
Me too Greg, sounds like a great time, see ya there.
Nick, I don't know :bigsmyl:
That tiller looks spot on buddy! I'll have to try that finish on the next bow. How long are the fades, about 2"?
Thanks Tom, I think you'll like this finish. I've always liked Deft products, this Defthane is good stuff. Yep 2", I like long fades.
If I could do that, I would never buy another bow.
Dano - Heck, we were using Deft finishes back in high school. Good products. I've done tru-oil on guns many times, but never though of spraying anything over it.
BWD - It's like how you get to Carnegie Hall...Practice!
Great job Dano. :notworthy:
Thanks Dennis.
Nice looking bow. Great Job!
Sweet bow Dano....what no build along this time  :wavey:
Thanks guy's, Shane them dang build alongs are too much work for a retired feller. :bigsmyl: Been huntin Dude?
Beautiful bow Dano, very well done.Love the way you done the skins, the copper heads we get aren't usually long enough for full length so I may give that a try on one.Looks great.
Pappy
Thanks Pappy, I wish I could take the credit for the skin idea, But Timo built me a bow a few years back that he'd done like that, his looks way better'n mine.
Great looking bow there Dano. I made a nice shooting 60 incher for my 26in draw as well. I really like the short long bowss that agree with our draws!
