Shawn, It looks like you made yourself a treestand and GroundBlind hunting bow, I'll bet that lots of Hogs and Deer are going to fall to this one.  Going out to the shop to continue working on Helens 64 inch "KennyM" LB, I haven't worked on her bow since I glued up the riser last week..

Ok I took a crash course in computers today and figured out how to repost pics so heres the profile pics.  Of course the pics are pretty self explanatory.  In the second pic this little 58 incher is drawn to 30 inches and I reached perpendicular (string to limb) or I am really close.  So my question is should it have .004 taper or .003 taper.  This one has .003 and the next is going to have .004 so only time will tell.  I was able to shoot three shots today across the crony.  55 lb bow @ 28 inches and 565 grain arrow shot 172.   If I played with it some I could get it up some more.  It has too much string silencers on it because I cant even hear it.

Cool! I'd almost say a power lam past the riser about 4-5" instead of .004 taper to just move the working limb out off the riser a bit.

I think more taper will make it stack when the string angle closes on 90 degrees to the limb....

Maybe Marty will happen by here,I know he has used p-lams a bit! Heck, you have too ,right?

I think .004 works well on narrow bows, but on a 1.5,may be whip ended.

JMHO !!

Shoot the melon!!  :bigsmyl:

I'm not the expert here, but I've studied your photos and this is my opinion:

I'm not sure I would change anything on that one!  I wouldn't go with any more taper personally.  The 30" draw thing is affecting my judgment, I'm sure.  You don't want the outer tips bending more.  You don't want the limbs bending more at the fades, but I think it's fine like it is.  I just don't see what there is to be gained with more taper.  To me the limb looks to be bending really well.  If going with more taper, you would definitely need tip wedges and power lams, but don't know if you would gain anything.  How did you get the 172 fps?  Was that 28" draw or 30"?  Fingers or release?  Shot by hand or machine?  If 28", fingers, and hand, those are good numbers.
