Any Trad folk here? I will be in town for the next 3 days working on a Home Despot. I have my latest bow with me but it sucks having to try to work on it in a motel room.
Where??
Every time I go through Albuqerque I wonder where in the heck they came up with that name. I know it's probably a Native American name, but what the heck does it mean. Ron while your there, that is your assignment. :bigsmyl:
I did a little research, :bigsmyl:
The village was named by the provincial governor Don Francisco Cuervo y Valdes in honour of Don Francisco Fernández de la Cueva, viceroy of New Spain from 1653 to 1660. One of de la Cueva's aristocratic titles was Duke of Alburquerque, referring to the Spanish town of Alburquerque.
:bigsmyl: OOOOOH I see said the blind man :bigsmyl:
Well I have 8 hours before work so I'll go hunting for wood and tool stores.
Ed Scott with Owl Bows is in Grant NM probably 200 miles from Albuquerque.
My daughter and family just moved to NM. If I ever get to visit, Ed will be one of my side trips.
