Nick
Very nice work Nick, nice clean lines.
You are one impressive young man Nick! That is one fine bow, and you draw that thing like no other 16 year old I've ever met!
Great Job. Nice looking bow
Nice Bow man, Hope i can get one to turn out that nice.
Looks Good Nick. Nice tips.
Chuck
Nice bow Nick. Did you cut all the way through the ipe overlay? If so I don't think the boo can stand the stress at the string and may give way there.
Very nice, Nick. Clean look, and great job. like the tips tooo... :) Parallell boo?
thanks for your kind words!!
hehe marty, I'm used to bows twice as strong :p Had some troubles with shades, so decided to get the fulldraw to a different place than usually. ha to duck a little, to get the bow in the white area, but thought this would be better ;) my back looks pretty weird eh? :p
pat, the nocks are "semi-sidenocks" :p There's some ipé left to protect the boo!
yesyes frode, parralel boo ;) don't think tapering is really usefull; as boo is lighter than wood... and thus would have a positive effect on the tipweight (in other words. I'm too lazy to get a correct taper :p ).
I usually do tiller the boo, bending it with my hands, looking for flatspots. Thought it would be better.
Nick
Got lots of IPE flooring available around where you live Nick?
no tom, not at all. But I went to a lumberyard a 2hour drive away, bought for 280€ ipé and a few exotics, drove another hour in another direction, bought for 80€ boo, then returned home. Got wood for more than 25bows that day :)
