So I introduced myself a while ago right after MOJAM and now I have a bow I would like to show you all. It is a hickory selfbow 48", about 40# @ 30". I was going for an asiatic bow look without horn or sinew. I think it came out pretty good. Thanks.

Thanks a lot for the responses guys!
thats pretty cool
Very cool Ryan! I want to recurve the tips a bit on one of the bows I'm working on. Did you use steam or a heat gun?
beautiful. that makes me want to get more hickory.
how's the handshock?
b.glass, I actually boil my tips just because its easier than steaming for me.
Canid, there is little hand shock if any at all. I don't really notice any when shooting.
Thanks for the comments.
Wow Ryan ! You did a fantastic job !!
Now what will be the next one ?
That's pretty cool, I've thought about trying that a few times.
Great job Ryan!! :notworthy:
Thats a cool little bow Ryan!nice job.
Anyone amazed as I am at a 48" selfbow drawn to 30"?!! That sort of design is pushing all sorts of envelopes and is completely unforgiving of tillering errors!
