What is the best home tanning process for snake skins?
If ya wany to put it on a bow just scrape it clean stretch it on a board and dry it

Go to Mckenzie.com or call 1-800-279-7985 and get the snake tan. I think it's $10 for a bottle that will do 3 to 5 skins depending on size. Brush it on, let dry over night. Do this 2 or 3 times and you have a very soft skin! Then give it a Ben Hayden (National Champion snake taxidermist)paint job, squirt a soft rag, or paint brush with W-D40 and wipe on the scale side... Brings out all the colors.
For display purposes you don't need to tan the skin if you seal the dried skin well. If you want to use the skin for other projects, tanning is the way to go.
