Post by: rainman on August 13, 2009, 09:20:00 PM
Doe' anyone know where I cant get blueprints for a form for a 50's style recurve like Appalachian Archery's Elk Mountain recurve, or the Fox breed?

Thanks

Cool link rbb, if you guys have recurve plans and use the same length riser, you can revamp riser shape to what you want, I would think.

Make the bow, and the riser the same length, and use the same width as your existing plan. Try to keep the fades similar also.

Making the form should be no prob.

Let us know what you come up with! And PICS!! LOL

I've got plans for the Bingham's one piece recurve (58" and 60") and was thinking of doing just that, change the riser section to more of a 50's style and keep the same limb profile.

If I remember right, that shouldn't be too hard, just less overlay on belly?

Don't have a blueprint, but I do have an Elk  Mountain. Can you make up a set off of it?

I would try, wish I still had my Elk Mountain,  my first custom bow.
