I built a glass backed straight limbed longbow a year or so ago. I like it alot but it came in about 10 lbs under the weight I want. I bought another strip of glass recently and plan on sanding off the finnish and gluing this on in an attempt to gain 10+ pounds of weight. Any of you guys have any experience in doing anything like this? I cant decide if I should glue it to the back or cut it in half and glue it to the belly. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

could you shorten it by 1" on each end and glue on new nocks?
RAU I have done that a couple of times once I added .030 glass and the other time .040 glass. Both times I added to the belly, just roughfed it up well added smooth on and cured at reduce temp. Worked okay and have shot those two bows for over a year.
