Title: Wood lam advice
Post by: pditto613 on July 16, 2009, 07:38:00 PM
I will finally be starting a new bow for myself this weekend.  My form is a binghams 60" recurve.  I have some figured cherry I want to use for veneers under clear glass. I also have available cherry, hard maple, red elm, and jatoba. Any suggestions for the core lams.  How about riser?  I only have enough figured cherry for one bow, maybe two.  Would like to to get a knockout on the first try.

I have used cherry as a core wood in recurves and worked out great. I like a dark colored riser with cherry.
