Thought I'd share my first bow attempt, I've posted this on another forum too, got some great advice! I know the wood choice isn't the best, but all I could get for now! I figured after 2 years of so reading and learning I should give it a go, so any wood is good practice......
Final pics soon, I've adjusted the tiller at mid/end upper limbs, and now doing final finishing, so full draw etc in a few days when it's all dry. Shot about 100 arrows through her first, way more fun than my wheeled bow!
Bamboo backed ash, 68" ntn, 45 at 28" approx.

Matt -
That is a dandy first bow. I'm too embarrassed to show my first one (or the next 12...)
Keep shaving wood and have fun.

Holy Cow, thats one of the best first bows I have seen. Mine didn't fair that well.
Thank you!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't just go 'pop' rather loudly!! heh.
Starting a boo backed hickory and boo belly tomorrow... let's see if this one wasn't a fluke!!
Great job on that one!
