On your R/D longbow form what would happen if one were to cut a bow with a stack of 0.360 from 64 inches down to say 60 inches? Would there be any loss of performance or would one need to change the form?
Thanks Shawn
Hey Shawn,
We cut my bro's bow to 62", gained 5# I think, can't tell any downfall to it. Actually I designed the reflex around a 62" bow,so I could go either way a couple ". You will probably pick up 10# or so tho....
Ah Yes ten four there buddy gonna give it a go on the one that bubbled to see what happens. Thanks for getting that order out.
Shawn
Shawn,what happened with ol bubbly?
Look at my post.. ala KennyM. Mine came in at 45 at 28" I piked it and now it is 61" ntn. My draw weight went from 45 to 55 and it is still a smooth and very quick shooter. You could increase your stack thickness and keep your length. I think it would be the best of both worlds. Weight and length.
It added 8 lbs to it and then I cut the limbs off with my bandsaw and sanded and reused the riser. Just came out of the oven today. So we will soon see.
Clear glass can be a pain, but MAN I like to see the grain!!
Good job reusin the riser!
