Title: Double Bit Axe
Post by: Lin Rhea on March 25, 2015, 02:11:00 PM
I just finished this boys size Double Bit. The body is mild steel and it has high carbon bits welded in. The handle is 23 inches over all.

Very nice.  That would be a handy axe to have around camp.

I'll bet the balance on that one makes you smile when you use it. What did you use for the high carbon bit's Lin?

Very cool axe      :clapper:

Thanks fellas!

Robin, I used 1075 steel. It seems to weld easier and is pretty tough. It cuts real good.
