Hi All:
My Son (Rex) will turn one-year old this coming January. Though he certainly won't be old enough to use it, I want to give him an heirloom quality custom hunting knife for his first birthday.
I'm looking for something special that he can use as he gets older, but also will be handed down through our family.
Can someone here recommend a good custom kingmaker who can make something special for Rex and our family?
I'd love to post a picture of Rex so you can see who will be receiving the knife, but I'm not having any luck with the technology.
Thanks,
Ron
Lin Rhea, Karl Anderson, Kevin Evans, These are a few of my favor makers, but there are alot on here that could help you out. Just click on the name and it will give you their info.

Yup-what he said ^. Those are some incredible makers and if you want something that will be high quality and last generations, you couldn't go wrong.

I'll agree with all listed above. Look through the threads here and you'll find quite a few accomplished makers. Here's a good one to start with, to show just how special some of these guys can make it for you.

There are a number of top knife makers who post here, but my choice would be Lin Rhea.
I'm going to suggest Darcy Ellis (see the very top post). Darcy does real nice work.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll soon be in touch with some of these makers.
You may want to take a look at Matt Looker's knives, he's a full-time blacksmith and knifemaker. He doesn't have a website yet, but you can see his work on facebook. The business name is Looker Hammer & Steel. You can also contact him directly at lookerhammer@gmail.com
