I just finished this small hatchet. I left the cheeks pointed similar to the New England style hatchets from the 19th century. In fact the steel bit that I welded into the cutting edge is 19th century buggy spring steel. The body is folded mild steel. Handle: 12 inches

Quit it Lin. You're going to push me into ordering something else I can't afford :)
Your hatchets never disappoint Lin.
Lin If I had to survive on one tool I would pick that. Very nice.

I love it! One of your hatchets is on my bucket list. They not only look great, but all seem to have a backstory that kicks it up a notch. Keep 'em coming, Lin. :)
Thanks guys. :campfire:
Nice lines on the handle too. You could be a boatbuilder too :-)
