Title: Hand Axe
Post by: Lin Rhea on August 22, 2014, 10:56:00 AM
This is just a very small hand axe. The head is of mild steel with a welded 5160 bit. I carved the handle from kiln dried hickory. It's 12 inches from top of head to end of handle and the cutting edge is 3 inches. Great for deer processing and light wood cutting. I'll be making another one a size bigger soon for one of our TG members. Getting some practice.    :)

Well, your practice is paying off, Lin.
That is quite admirable.
Forging one of those would make a great video.
