I finished this up a couple weeks ago and it is now in the customers hands. I figured some of you may enjoy seeing it.
This was designed based on his input and features he wanted in a hog hunting knife.
The blade is 8" long and is sharp top and bottom. It has a fuller running the length of the blade which really balances out this large knife and makes it very quick in hand. I made both a leather and kydex sheath for this one.
It has a carbon fiber scales and yellow liners. I am very happy with how it turned out and so was the customer. Hopefully I will have some action shots to share soon.

Mighty fine, Ben. Mighty fine...

That looks awesome!
your work never ceases to amaze me - that is one awesome BIG knife.
Ben how did you get the convex groove in the kydex? I am guessing you placed a piece or rod(possibly some of that fiber pin material you use) in the fuller before pressing it together??
can you post a pic of both sides of the kydex sheath please?
Really fine work and no surprise coming out of your shop.
Thanks guys!
Bobby,
You are correct. In order to keep the kydex from dragging on the knife when drawn, I placed a fiberglass rod in the fullers to create a negative of it. It gives the look of the fuller in the sheath without the issues.
The other side of the sheath looks the same.
Sorry no pics of it though.
Nice! That'll get the job done.
Very cool. I like the fuller.

Thanks guys!
The carbon fibre scales really make this knife pop. I never have seen yellow liners on a knife before it sounds intriguing .
All business and tough as leather. That knife is well designed.
That is one sweet sticker!!!!!!!

Thanks again everyone!
Here are some pics the customer sent me from across the pond.

Nothing better than seeing a good tool used for what is was designed to do. Very good stuff there Ben!!
I really need to get one of your knives someday but I just cant justify buying something I can make(albeit no where near as nice)
Thanks for posting the pics.
Ben,
Did you "mill" the groove in the blade? It looks so perfect.
Thanks Bobby, that means a lot!
Yes, I milled the fuller into the blade.
