This is a small knife blade that I just forged from a scrap of my Damascus. I actually squished it in several directions to see what would happen. It turned out nice but the pattern is almost a wood grain.
It's 3 inches X 5/8 X 1/8. About the size and shape of a pocket knife blade.

I don't wear dresses but I would wear that.
That is awesome.
Different kind of dress Randy. :)
So, how would you carry it? Horizontally?
Yes, in a dressed up sheath.
I love the pattern on that. Going to look really neat finished out.
Jeremy
I Laddie or you could stick her in the top of yere sock.
I like it a lot. Looking forward the finish, and the sheath. CTT
That's awesome. I love the wood grain look. It would actually match the grain in the bocote I used on my last knife really well.
Matt
Or maybe use curly maple and instead of a ladder Damascus blade with a wood grain handle, you would have a wood grain Damascus blade with a ladder pattern handle. :D
Matt
Love the pattern in that. Simple but classy.
Darcy :campfire:
Love that Damascus, my favorite type of pattern. Can't wait to see the final product.
Joel
I don't own clothes fancy enough to compliment that!
I agree with Darcy on the pattern. Really like the slim profile on that blade too. That's going to be a nice all around knife.
Looks great Lin. Is that at etched makers mark? It looks crisp, deep and perfect.
Thanks guys.
Yes Brad. It's electro etched.
That's a very cool pattern. Sure looking forward to how you finish that one.
