Every now and then, I do enjoy doing a cord wrap with ray skin.
This is a W1, machine finished, with a subtle hamon.
Heavy Ito from Japan - not para cord or shoe string.

Nice wrapping Karl. May I ask, did you build up behind the ray skin so the handle would be thicker?

Nope - I just left the steel thick! :D
As well, that ito is very thick and doubles when I cross the layers.
It mostly fills the hand.

I meant to post up some info on wrapping Japanese style handles, I just haven't done it yet.
