Here's one I finished yesterday afternoon that I plan to take to the upcoming Seattle International Knife Show coming up in a few weeks.
I had a bar of twist Damascus that didn't impress me so I forged it down to a 1/2" square. cut it into four pieces, restacked and forged into this 8 1/2" blade. She has wrought fittings and a curly Koa handle. Thanks for looking.

Sweet looking knife, like the damascus and blade profile.
Doug thats some kinda nice, you will not keep it long.
That is a pretty bowie Doug.
Is gorgenourness a word. Must be since that is gorgeouness!!
Pretty cool when your work invents a new word. :notworthy:
Good word and I agree with it.
That is one quick, wicked looking blade and the more I see of koa wood, the more I like it. I'm thinking some of that belongs on one of my S&W K-frames.
Doug, that knife looks fantastic. That's one of the most beautiful pieces of Koa I've seen in a while. I'm very curious to hear how the Seattle show goes. It sounds like it's going to be a good time. You'll even get to see Bing and John Doyle in the same place ;) . Thanks for sharing the knife with us.

Doug, I really like this one! The blade profile is great and the Damascus is cool.
I love etched Wrought next to Curly Maple, but that Koa is very nice!

Darcy :campfire:
That is a good one Doug.
Thanks guys!
That's a looker Doug! I love the long lean blade.
Sleek and simple lines, beautiful knife!
This strikes harmony with me. I'm a big fan of subtle Damascus that is noticed on a double take.
Very nice. I too like that blade!!
Very nice knife Doug. I like how the pattern turned out.
Thanks for sharing.

Not the traditional Bowie look for sure.
beautiful....that koa is special stuff. Doesn't photo well enough to show just how much depth it has.. it's fast becoming one of my favorites.
