Title: Brute de Forge
Post by: kbaknife on January 20, 2014, 08:59:00 PM
I thought I'd dress this one up a bit, since it was going to Little Rock.
(Then some guy asked me what I was taking and bought this one before I could get it done. Better make another one.)
I've got a nice little collection of 1" square 5160 made back in 1984 that makes an awesome knife. So that's how this one started.
Polished frame, stabilized curly maple and hot-blued Damascus bolsters.
The full tang handle is mill mortised up to the front edge of the bolsters and tapered.
Fun.

Whoohooo buddy!  :)  That's a looker right there.  I love the brute de forge finish and contrast between the steel and maple.  Might just be my favorite knife you've posted here.
