Looks like part of the same billet as the bird boot?
Darcy
I was thinking the same thing Darcy. What are the dimensions? Looks like it'll be a nice little hunter if I'm guessing the size right.
Matt Toms
Exactly.
4 3/8 inch. 5/32 thick.
Maybe a hair thicker.
Do you ever sleep? It seems you are turning out knives at the same rate I'm arguing with my wife!!! I really enjoy your work though, and hope the pace continues.
I was guessing 4-4 1/2. That'll be a fine little huntin knife. Kinda sad that I've looked at your knives laying on that background so many times I can measure the lengths with it. I guess I'm kinda a TG stalker. :scared:
Keep us posted
Matt Toms
Lin, you're giving us all complexes. Not only can't we match your quality, I can't even come close to the quantity.
So many nice knives and so little money :(
Thanks
I have had a busy weekend. I cant keep this pace up all the time.
That's true Matt. I sort of planned it that way.
I grabbed my long bow and sit in a ground blind this afternoon. That was very nice.
I need to make some more Damascus very soon.
Another great looking blade, Lin. Looking forward to the finished knife. Have something in mind yet?
Oh boy, that will be a dandy.
I have some Dyed Stag scales laid out for it. I'll try to get them on this afternoon, if I feel up to it. Thanks
OK, this little knife is finished,....I think. :scared:
I did something on the handle that is weird to me, but the scale has, or I should say "had"...a whitish streak along the guard that just looked too much like a mistake. It wasn't, although I make plenty. I already added an extra stainless spacer.
But natural material they way it is, I just deal with it. I decided to add some grooves with my gun checkering tools. This was all it took to remove that whitish material in the stag, but made quite a change in the over all look of the hunter. It's growing on me.

I actually made this knife from the forging of the blade to measuring the thickness, guard length, etc. to fit this sheath. It fits great. It's a gorgeous sheath, if I may say so. It's made by our own Scott Teaschner, TG member.

I hope you like it.
A fine Knife and a fine sheath, Great job on both.
That's amazing Lin.
Beautifull! I love that stag.
Seriously the first thing I thought when I saw the pic was "YUM"! Is that wierd?? :dunno: :D
Darcy
That stained stag handle looks great, as does the whole knife. Scott does do great leather work too.
Dang Lin, I have to get one of your knives one of these days, love this one.
Thats a beauty. I know there will be some very happy hunter when they get that one. I really like the extra work on the stag.
Chris
Hey Lin. How bout a few more pics of the finished knife???

Thanks Pat.

I'm getting it shot by a pro today and should be able to post that too soon. Thanks :)
Lin,
I do not know how a pro could take a better pic than that last one. First two were not bad either.
Danny, He probably wont have the back of an out house as a back drop. :biglaugh: That's what it is, no kiddin.
I always try to take some cell phone shots myself to see if I can do it justice. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
That is an heirloom knife and sheath. Real nice.
Lin you are cranking out some amazing knives. Really enjoying the pictures

Another masterpiece,Lin.
The knife is spectacular, Lin. Reminds me of one you made for me. I like the little additions you made to this one too.
Allan
Yup, that Chuck Ward photo confirms it.........YUM! :p

Darcy, I'll take that as a compliment, for sure. :campfire:
