The Lil Johnny forging demo stickied in this forum is a good place to start. Also the American Bladesmith Society has a YouTube channel that has many great demos. As far as a dvd I will have to leave that for somebody else to recommend.

Check the American Bladesmith Society store and the Bill Moran "DVD The Making of a Knife" that will give you basic look of the entire process.  Other DVD's are available too.

Hope this is helpful.

thank you all, I've give those a look-see. I've gone over and over the one Lin Rhea did with the Lil Johnny, and one on youtube titled "a small hunting knife". Both are excellent, wanted a DVD for home since I don't have I-net available back in the mountains.

again, thank you.
