At the Little Rock show this past winter, MS Steve Culver, the host/promoter of the ABS Heartland Knife Symposium asked me to do a demo this October on some of my take-down procedures.
I said, "Sure!"
Then, about 1/2 way back home I got to wonderin' why I said that!
I have to make four of these for a fellow and used the first one as a step-by-step for my power point presentation on one of my methods.
I have now taken over 425 photos of the process I use.
I think I'll be able to eat up some time doing the demo!
So, here's the first one for the demo and the first of four for the customer.
Some of Pete Crowl's end-grain, spalted Maple which has been stabilized.
324 layer 1095/15N20 with some nicely forged-in chatoyance, and a hot-blued mild steel guard.
I hope it's a fun demo 'cause I just about wore out my camera!
