Title: multi carry skinner / bushcrafter/ sheath pics added
Post by: snakewood3 on July 29, 2013, 04:18:00 PM
Kind of a Nessmuk profiled blade. 5/32" thick, 4 7/8" blade, 8 3/4" overall. American 1080 and 15n20 steel, takes and holds a very fine edge. Mesquite handle with brass Corby bolts.
Sheath is 7 oz. veg tan. Can be worn horizontal in either direction or vertical either side with different heights on belt. Will also easily attach to webbing or quiver.
Listed in the sponsors classifieds for sale.

Very nice knife.... the mesquite is warm and figured.

Nicely shaped and proportioned. I like the interesting Damascus pattern. It really fits the blade design. Pretty wood too. The sheath looks good from what I can see, but it seems to be hiding. What are all those features I see?

This is a prototype sheath, I have some refinements in mind. These pics will give some idea of various carry modes / configurations.

Thanks gents ! Apparently my first models lack of attire was disagreeable to some. No big deal.
I'm liking this sheath a lot. The finger nuts are a far more positive fastener then snaps (plus they are quite). The stainless screws are trapped, allowing for one handed operation.

A delightful looking  knife and Ive grown fond of the previous model.    Ive seen that style of sheath before and wondered what the hardware was for. Ive been waiting on one of your Cody knives to pop up. Really was cool looking piece of steel.
