Even after doing this for 15+ years, I occasionally still get bit. This was caused by me being careless while grinding, wide open, with a fresh 36 grit belt.

BUT... at least the Bowie I was working on came out unharmed!!

Don't you just love those hungry, fresh 36grit belts?
Very nice Bowie knife, though.
:scared: "Buy you books and buy you books ,
please don't burn the books"
:banghead:
Sorry Matt ,But be more carefull.
Cool knife though!
You're not really going to try to tell us you've never brushed a knuckle on a belt, are you Kevin?
Ouch! Knuckle looks bad but the knife looks great.
Chris
Just tell everybody you got the scar from an idiot with a massive bowie knife. :knothead:
Matt Toms
Worth it.
Ouch, as long as ya heal it'll be worth it. Love the knife. :bigsmyl:
Yeoooow! It happens sometimes. 36's are unforgiving.
That is a beautiful blade / guard / handle wood combination!
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Sure glad you avoided staining it with the juice and I am glad that the injury was not worse!
Heal up fast!
Shoot straight, Shinken
:archer2:
thanks all, yeah its healing pretty good, my wife mixed up some stuff to put on it thats magic... all I know what ever she mixed has lavender in it, as thats what it smells like... but really, this stuff works!!
Those belt wounds are no fun.....hope you heal up fast.
I like the chopper, is that guard copper or bronze?
Darcy :)
hi Darcy, thanks, the guard is Copper, and already getting a real nice dark patina. Thats what I like about Copper, it oxidizes very nice, turning that "penny brown" over time.
Got to get this one shipped out today.
That's gotta hurt! Darn pretty knife though.
Allan
Ouch. Been there done that. Great looking knife. Heal fast.
OUCH...be careful brother!
