Great looking knife Kevin!
I'll tell you what I think. I like it. That's a real nice Bowie Kevin. Beautiful stag.
Very nice!!! I love the fluting and file work. Very nice stag too! I am sure the new owner will love it.
Thanks for sharing it here.
Chris
That's my kinda bowie. Really Nice !
>>>>---JG------------>>
I like that. Nice blade shape, great size for an all purpose bowie, and nice stag.
The angle of the pics makes it look handle heavy, although I am sure it's not. Maybe try a pic almost broadside but with the tip of the blade slightly closer to the camera than the handle. Very slightly quartering too, rather than the slight quarter away of these pics. :D
Darcy
A beauty for sure!
Kevin, how do you remove the oxides after the etch?

Thanks Guy's.
Darcy I am not a very good picture taker, but you are probably correct ,I personally think I used to heavy piece of stainless on the but cap.Its 1/4" and should have used 1/8".,it would look better.I think I interrupted the flow. Also curved corners in too much should have left more blunt. I didn't even have a butt capp on my original drawing pic.(live and learn)I may have to grind it away before Blade.
Although the ballence is perfect in my opinion.
It would also look better if the filing in the guard was dyed black.
Its over all the best one I have ever made ,kinda need to see it in person.
Those pictures where taken in the dark t see Hamon.
Steve I use Mothers (Mag and Aluminum polish ) the final polishing.I takes forever!
In fact this Hamon thing is a real hassel.
Sanding to rediculus finish then etching
Got couple more to do then back to Damascus
Very nice
Kevin, it is a hassel indeed, depending on the project I do like the look!
I wish I could attend the Blade Show to see your knives!

Hmmm... yep, I'd take that cap to the grinder... Looking good buddy, you got a bunch for the big show?
Thanks Doug ,would you take it all off or stop right at the file lines ? :dunno: and what else would make this knife better? Ask Karen?
Show? 4 of each now ,think I'm quiting for a bit, gotta go try an dmake a living. :)
I love everything about it!
Kevin,
That's way beyond just pretty.

Kevin,
I would not change a thing, very nice.
Just grind to the file lines. Looks really nice.
