Title: Strange skinner....
Post by: jeff mccray on February 07, 2013, 03:30:00 PM
My gym's owner processes a lot of elk during archery season .  He asked me to make this knife for him.  I think its ugly but he truly likes it.

alaskan style knife , they work great for skining. the rounded tip makes for fast skinning with out the poke throughs on the hide.

I like it.  Some jobs can make you not care about looks.

Yes, it's ugly, but I like it anyway. I bet it works very well for its intended purposes. Form follows function and all that.

She won't win any beauty contests but the customer loves her.  This was a freeby prototype to see if it works anyhow.  If I get orders from his friends, then I will make them prettier.
