Title: Knife making sponsor help needed
Post by: Mojostick on January 08, 2013, 09:31:00 AM
I'm thinking about having a custom back quiver made for me. Often, quivers will have a place for a knife and sheath, made on the quiver, above some type of pocket on the quiver.

But instead of a knife, I was thinking a nice, stag handle pruning saw would be pretty cool and actually get a lot more use, for small branches on blinds-etc, than a knife, which I already carry.

Silky Zubat makes a high quality 10" hand saw blade for around $45. It's prefect for what I'm looking for and it's replaceable, if the handle is made to be removed.

So, can someone point me in the direction of one of the knive sponsors who could put a really nice stag handle on the blade? One that's worthy of carrying on the outside of custom back quiver.

Thanks in advance.

Gonna put this on the knife Forum as well.

Rather then a non folding saw I would go for a folding version.

I carry a Bacho Laplander.  These are great little saws and only cost about $20.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, but I don't want a cheap folding saw to be displayed on a $300 back quiver. I'm looking for something special with a "wow factor".

Marbles made something similar to what I'm thinking, but in a cheaper hatchet. Something like this, but on a well made saw blade...
