Title: Little Frontier Patch knife (resized Sheath Photos)
Post by: Steve Nuckels on December 29, 2012, 05:09:00 PM
I just finished this very small primitive, it was to be a friction folder but I changed directions and it turned out to be a fixed blade. Stained Whitetail antler handle, copper pins 5 1/2" OAL 2' blade, polished bevels forge scale flats.

That is a beautiful piece of antler and a sharp looking blade.

I finished the sheath for this little knife.

Thanks to Charles Sinclair AKA Snakewood for providing me with some rawhide for this project.

It is a cow hide inner sheath covered with deer rawhide.  Antler and copper concho's brass cones with horse hair. Belt loop is rawhide and rattleshake inlay.
