Sambar scales first bolstered knife as well
blue vulcanized fiber liners
440C second blade with this steel...
My grind lines are not as crisp as I'd like
I will do better next time!
600 grit hand rubbed finish on blade and bolster.
I LIKE IT !!!!!
Looks good to me Ray,I like it too.
Looks great Ray!
That is the nicest Nessie I've ever seen. Very great work there.
That's beautiful! I've always wanted a Nessmuk.
Good looking knife! I really like it also!! If you don,t like the sharpness of your grinding lines, just ship it to me, you'll never see them again....
Cheers
Cool knife! Did you make the sheath too?
I really like the balance you struck with that knife, Ray. It just works. No doubt you can always improve on a style of knife that you have built for the first time, but it will be hard to make big improvements over what you have already done.

Thanks much fellas. Manitou I am a really poor leather man! I have to get someone else to do them for me! I use three different fellas- that one is by my buddy Chris at Treestump Leather in Maine.
I really like the style of that one. I just send the knife and he matches it up perfectly every time
A real beauty Ray!
That is a great skinning knife! Very nice Ray.
Beautiful knife Ray! :notworthy:
Gracias!
I've never liked the looks of a nessmuk-until now! That knife is over the top!!
Hey Ray,
I can understand your dis-satisfaction and I'm sure you don't want that laying around reminding you about it so SEND IT TO ME!! I think it is beautiful with elegant handling of the stag.
Merry Christmas,
Jed
