Forged from W2 round bar (1-1/2" x 4"), Overall 17", blade is 11-3/4" L x 2-1/4" W x 3/8" thick at ricasso. Convex edge, sharp cplip, "working" polish to show hamon. Handle is Ziricote, which ive only used a few times, it sure works nicely.

Proper size for a bowie and beautiful too!
Wow, that's a beautiful horse of a blade. I really like the way the hamon comes around the clip.
Another fine knife Matt. You never disappoint. I think you have those big knives "down pat"! :notworthy:
thanks fellas, its a real handfull, but thats what the customer wanted. I forged myself one today, a bit trimmed down from this beast though.

Great looking knife how do you get the blade to look like that.
Rob
Is the guard stainless, Matt?
hi Karl, no on this one the guard is mild steel, was going to blue it but decided to leave in the white for contrast. Ive done a few in the white, and was worried about staining etc. but it doesnt seem to be a big problem with minimal maintanance.
Very nice Matt. I like everything about this one, as always with your knives.
Chris
