I finished this knife several months ago and the owner has had a sheath made since. I thought you might want to see it. The area up high is over layed with elephant hide. I tried several times to get the colors of the ivory and had to focus directly on it. The first picture is just of the knife.

Absolutely stunning package there Lin! Is the sheath a Paul Long?
Wow Lin. Both the blade and leather work are sure tops. The stud on the sheath looks different? Special made?
ART.<><
Amazingly beautiful set!!!!!!!!! Who made the sheath? Lin, that is some of the prettiest Damascus I have ever seen, and the rest of the knife completes the effect. It is centerfold worthy!

Yep, that's a real beauty.
Could easily be the center piece of any collection.
Thank you guys. Paul Long made the sheath.
I thought the sheath really added something. :D
I noticed that the ivory has started turning a nice buttery color. It might just be the brown in the leather bringing it out.
Your work is amazing Lin.
Great looking piece,
CTT
Hey Lin, to me your one of the few guys that really nails sub hilts. I think my budd Jeff the cop bought that knife!
Makes a beautiful package - each half worthy of the other.
Another beauty! Your knives are tops in the country Lin!
Thank you.
Robin, it's a standard button.
Thanks Lin, must be a reflection I'm seeing in the picture. Thanks also for the tool pictures you sent. Your a master with the hammer & forge for sure. Robin
I couldn't find a "speechless" emoticon, so this one will have to do.

Having had the opportunity to hold several sub hilts I can say this one is perfect. The knife just fits. It feels like it belongs in the hand. The Rhea Sub Hilt is my favorite but this is my favorite if the RHS's. A close second resides in Kansas City and has won several cutting competitions.

My goodness gracious...that makes me want to give up anything related to knife making or leather working. Stunning, masterful, purposeful, functional, and just plain "perty!"
Lin,
This illustrates to me that if I spend long hours in my shop, day after day, perfecting craft, there will still be knives out there that are much prettier than mine for me to drool over. Absolutely stunning.

A very fine piece of art. I can't praise it enough.
Lin your work is amazing how many hours do you get in one of those.
Rob
Thank you gemtlemen. Rob, I dont know. Around 45 or so. If I knew, I would probably quit. :D
