Title: ULU
Post by: sticshooter on July 22, 2012, 09:42:00 PM
Named it the STIC Phoenix from an inspiration of a friend who made these from circular saw blades. I made one because I think it is a awesome blade so did it in  old sawmill steel.
This one  has an 8" cutting edge and curly maple handle with knots.

I'm not sure what it's intended use is...but I bet you could do some serious veg. chopping and kitchen prep with something like that!  Looks more efficient than a chefs knife and easier on the hand.
Nice.

Frank I have seen several different ULU's but yours is by far my favorite!

I reminds me of a wepon from Star Trek.

Frank,

I'll order one of those for my wife- she's got arthritis and THAT would make her life much easier in the kitchen, my friend.

Frank

I LOVE it!

I found out just how useful a tool an ulu is when I lived in Alaska for 5 years.  This is by far the nicest ulu I've seen!

Thanks for sharing Frank.
