Here are some more pictures of some sheaths I just finished for Karls knivse that will be at the Blade Show. Karl will show better pictures of his knives once he gets them back and is able to finish them out. I truly love getting Karls knives to build sheaths for them. The fit and finish and the way the balance is unbelievable! I have one coming from him and I just cant wait to get it! Any way I am going to start giving names for styles of my sheaths. I am going to try and use local names. The first sheath that is an inlay of distressed Cape Buffalo. I will call this one the Greybull Hunter Sheath after the famous Greybull River known for its great hunting and fishing. The next is a two tone sheath with basket stamp and a tri dot stamp that is dyed mahogany. This unique sheath I will call the The Sleeper after a ranch I hunt on out of Meeteetse. The armguard that is featured is an inlay of elephant I had the custom buttons done in a satin stainles and finger carved the inside it will make a nice matching set with an inlay sheath and belt! Enjoy.

Gorgeous work Scott.
Wow, Scott. Not sure which one I like best! My first reaction is the inlay, but that two tone sheath rocks, dude, rocks.
thanks Lin cant wait to meet you at the Blade show.
WOW Scott your work is some of the cleanest work I have seen. Great job! What kind of a stamp is that on the armguard?
Same as in the sheath its called a seashell with a filler so 2 tools to make the one. I call it snake skin!
Scott,
Absolutely the best!!
Thanks Jeff
so scott your work is awesome! just wondering how it all goes together do you machine stitch? and how do you get such perfect burnishing? i alwasy try to improve my quality of work and you would be the right guy to ask. great job on those.
I really like what your doing Scott. That scroll cutting on the back will become your trademark I'm betting. Love your stamping lines. Have a great show.
Thanks Robin I appreciate it! I would like to do more floral but for some reason either price or people back east dont care for it? I have a hard time selling anything floral and it is so much the pinical of carving and most people love it in the west. The scroll is something I think reminds people of gun engraving. I can also do it fairly quickly so it is not as much as floral carving.
Yes I use a machine and edges are a bunch of little things good edgers that are sharp saddle soap and sweat (gotta rub em).
Just when I think you can't go any higher, you just take off, Scott. Amazing pieces here.
