Here is my second attempt at knife making. I finished this one back in March. It is made from an Eclipse industrial hacksaw blade, which is M3 high speed steel. The handle is walnut. There must be something to this knife because the first time that I took it turkey hunting I used it to clean a turkey! You just can't beat that. Thanks for looking.

good looking knife and sheath combo! how thick is that blade ya used? and your bevels look like a scanivex grind from the pic . looks like a real good user.
Nice work and good mojo killing the Turkey! How about a photo of the bird!

Congrats on all accounts. Special feeling to clean your critter with a knife you made.

I believe it is .088 thick. I am not sure what you would call the grind but is is basically a scandi grind with a secondary bevel. Whatever you call it it is the sharpest knife that I own.
Steve, I would love to post a photo of the bird but it was a non-trad kill. I am doing good to get one with a gun every year! :dunno:
I don't know anything about knife making, AL, but I know what looks good. And that looks real good.
