Title: knife restoration
Post by: gringol on May 22, 2012, 09:01:00 AM
I have a couple old knives in rough shape that I would like to get restored.  Sheaths too.  Any recommendations for this?  I would like to pay someone, because I have too many other projects going on right now.

Yes Koger may help you out.  He did a nice job on one for me.  I got a sheath made by Art Vincent to match my pocket quiver.

I would ask Clarence Smitherman (skullworks).  He revived a knife for me and made a sheath for it.  He did a great job!

thanks for the tips, guys.  One of these knives is really more of a bayonet than a knife, which is why it's been sitting in a closet for the last year.  Not much call for the bayonet charge these days, but it's a bit of a shame to see a piece of iron so beat up...
