Title: Micarta? Where to buy?
Post by: Bobby Urban on May 11, 2012, 07:39:00 AM
Where are you all getting your micarta and other handle materials for scales/full tang knives?  I am specifically looking for orange canvas if it is out there?  Also black, green and olive.

Just looking for more resources than Jantz because they have limited colors.

Thanks - Bob

USA Knifemaker's supply has most of that if not all and they have fast service.

If you order green be careful. Lots of people are selling what they call green micarta and the color does not match the westinghouse product. The stuff I got from jantz was the color of green garden hose. I recommend Sheffield Supply as they are pretty close to the original colors.

Thanks Jon - I have ask this on a couple of sites and now am overwhelmed with site to order from.   I did place and order with USknifemaker but have other things I am wanting so I will likely try some other places as well.
