Bought one of Jantz's US-made D2 blades (Pattern #40 with matching molded kydex sheath) to make a knife to donate as an auction item for the Richard Murphy Hospice foudations annual gala this evening. Scales are desert ironwood and the blade is D2; pins are 3/16" stainless. Got it finished last night and took a couple quick shots with the iPhone in the morning light:
Thanks for looking.

Rusty,
You did a very fine job of putting together that knife. D2 and ironwood is a great combination, and you are giving a donation that will be greatly appreciated, I'm sure!

Nice job!
Thanks guys. The knife snagged $120 for Hospice in an early 2-hour silent auction. I'm happy I could do something for so worthy an organization. You see, DeeDee's dad (my father-in-law) died while in Hospice care earlier this year. The service they provide is priceless. They are truly special people and as deserving of the generosity the receive from this annual event in the Hammond/Ponchatoula area. I'm just happy I could contribute in some small way.
Thanks again for looking.
