For a minute I thought I was in trouble.

Bill, I use a flat platten on my KMG knife grinder and then hand sand with a variety of backing stick from hard (Osage) to soft leather faced to allow for the need. Of course I sometimes use files when I have to.

Let us see a knife or two if you get time. We're glad to have you Bill.

Yes Bill. With your experience at hollow grinding, you should catch on in no time.

Bill,
I do both flat & hollow grinds.  Just for kicks take one of your Botched up (if you have one) hollow grinds and flat grind it.  You will be amazed how easy it is.  Good starting point...tippit
