Title: Last One Before Hunting/Fishing Season
Post by: Idahomike251 on July 21, 2011, 03:50:00 PM
I'll not be making any more knives until end of October, so I decided to use a nice piece of stabilized fiddle back maple to celebrate the coming fall. I like to use maple as it has very subtle but interesting grain structure. It seems like the wood grain figure becomes more intricate as you keep staring into it.

That's nice Mike, the handle looks almost 3D. I'm not sure you can hold off that long from making another knife. Good luck and good hunting

Nice Mike!  To me that looks to me like the ideal size and profile for hunting/fishing chores!
