So this winter has been a lot of rain, and a lot of blown out rivers, which has left me with a lot of time in the shop. I have been mainly working on stock removal knives since January when I fell on my arm. I am finally healing up and plan to start forging again this week. These are all file knives. They are made from nicholson files which are 1095. I have machinist buddies, and a farrier who give me their worn out files and rasps to work with so I get the pleasure of reusing something for the high price of free.

Nice looking neck knives. My favorite is the top one with the black handle. Good luck with your arm healing up.

Very nice work Clay.
Rainy weather is good for something, huh?
I'm liking those, Clay. And I'm with you-free is definitely my favorite :) . Hope your arm's back up to swinging that giant 5 pounder soon.
