This is a little neck knife I put together for a friend. Josh has a plasma cutter so I asked him if he would cut out some trade point and knife blanks for me. In return I made this for Josh.
The blade is cold rolled steel and is hafted into the antler tip handle with epoxy and added a pin to strengthen it. It has a sinew wrap that I set in TBIII. The sheath is hand stitched and made from a scrap of leather with a leather boot lace lanyard.

Nice. Your friend should be pleased.
yep, ya just can't beat a necker!!
good hunting!!
Looks great bud, I like my necker, I'd wear it every day if I could get away with it at work.
That's a nice piece. Did you have to temper the blade or did you just grind an edge on it?
Very nice Pat, may have to try to trade you out of one of them. Nice work
Kerry, if things go the way I plan I will have a few at the Classic this coming spring. I'm sure we can come up with a trade!!!
Looper, All I did was clean up the shape on my belt sander and put the edge on with a file. I did dip it in water as I cleaned it up to keep it from overheating. I don't think the plasma cutter heats the metal too much while cutting.
Thanks everyone. It was a fun project to do and I'm sure I will make more when I get more blades from Josh.
That's a dandy little knife. Nice work!
Really nice!
I'm working on a few myself!
