Hey all:
I am making another one and cant decide on the length of the guard. the blade is 1.5" wide D2and the blade is about 8" long. how long of a guard do you think I should use? I made one that was about 1.75" long and it just did not look right yet I don't know what would be too long? Is there a point where the guard is too long for the blade length or a standard for "X" inches of blade you should use "X" inches of guard?

just put on a long one and grind it till it looks right
