I've been making these knives for the Custom Knife Collector's Association for the first offering of our "Club Knife of the Year", and I think I've posted a few of these already - did I?
Anyway, this one had some really nice Blackwood that I thought was worth a viewing here:

Pretty Sweet!!!! I am a newbie to this site. Been around for only a couple of months. Knife making is something totally new to me. I have been reading up as much as I can find and have bought a few books that had some very basic instructional pieces. The talent that you have cultivated is awesome!!! It looks like you have put it to good use. THnaks for sharing the pictures.
Love the integrals - Simple but elegant. You should stamp 2010 into the blade? Not atempting to critique your work because I truly aspire to have even 1/2 your skill but I would think a date would be appropriate for a first run annual if there is going to be more to follow.
Great knife -
Bob Urban
The "run" is almost over with - too late for dating.
Being as it is, this year's knife will never be confused with any of the subsequent ones, and all will be well documented.
Beautiful work! What's the steel, and is that a clay temper line?
Ron
It's W2 and that's not a clay temper line, it's a hamon influenced by clay.
absolutely beautiful
