Seems like every time I have a new hunting adventure, I need a new knife for the journey :) Forged this up yesterday for the Campbell/Pinecone elk hunt. Wanted something a little bigger & beefier as I hear elk tend to be a might larger than our local whitetails ;) If I'm lucky enough to get her some work & she preforms well enough, than I'll probably add some elk horn scales. Hopefully I'll get to expose her to some Antelope next week in Wyoming too...Doc
5160 9" OAL with a 5" blade compared to my normal carry 7" AOL caper. Both have 10" wheel shallow hollow grinds.

Whip, I was kinda thinking she'd skin out Your goat :)
Beautiful blades Doc!!
Both of them are fantastic.
You make sheaths for these type knives?
Got any pictures?
Karl, I hate makin' sheaths...but I when I do they usually simple, cross draw style, and form fitting plus some neck sheaths. I also tend to make multiple knives to fit One Sheath :)

Good Luck.
Doc, I know where you can get one sheath made :)
Cool lookin blades. Ever since i saw one of your guards I've wondered about wet fitting leather to them to lock in a blade.
