Title: First Crossdraw Sheath
Post by: LONGBOWKID on March 19, 2009, 02:20:00 PM
Just built it from memory of Robtattoos build-a-long. It is also my first memory fitted sheath.

Well. How'd I do?

Heres the knife that it belongs to.

Looks good to me! Leather work  is a another monster all together! I might suggest that after you wet fit the sheath to dress up the edge/welt area with a belt sander or sand paper...just be careful not to remove too much. Then you can take a burnisher or a piece of smooth antler(this is what I use) and burnish that edge to make it smooth. Just a thought but it is fine the way it is too!

Thanks Skully! I was just thinking I need to do something to the edge. It doesnt look quite right. I'll get on that!

Looks good.    I've thought about trying to make one myself.
I like your blade on that knife.
