Made out of an old planer blade. Im guessing 3/8" thick.
Took almost 5 straight hours of grinding, and wore out a 6" disk.

Now, all I need is one really sharp bit to drill my holes for pins with. Once I accomplish that, I'll get some walnut scales on it.

Heck throw it in the fire right now before you drill it. Cobalt bits work great. Thats what I use for planer blades and sawblades.<><

Yup I annealed some saw blade steel if the fireplace recently. It worked great. Then just normal cobalt bits and your good to go.Skippy
