Ya just keep getting better and better Frank!
Thats a beauty! :clapper:
Keep up the Bowie kick. I'm liking em!
Frank that looks good.
You may want to get set up for solder, it is easier/cheaper than you think.
Mapp gas torch with bottle, about $20. And your propane torch will likely handle the Mapp gas if you already have that.
Silver solder and flux, I can't remember cost but not that much, less than 20.
That's all you need.
I like to solder AND pin, you know, belt and suspenders too.
Dan
OH YEA, I like it, very nice Frank!
Press fit that guard next time Frank, takes a bit but worth it in the long run. Then if your worried you can secure with JB Weld.
Or get set up to solder... like Dan said, it's a very simple process. If I am soldering I just use my propane torch Dan, bout everybody has one of those laying around...
AWESOME KNIFE!!!!!
Thats a nice lookin knife!
I love the character on that mule deer!
That's sweet.
Oops, Doug, you are right, all that is needed is propane. Dummy Dan here only has Mapp gas so he doesn't think in more than one dimension.
Back to the original intent of this thread, nice knife!
That is OUTSTANDING Frank!
Did ya get a box yet?
I like it Frank! Good luck with Shell...I got mine from Ray ;) Course she's pretty soft come St Judes time :notworthy: Doc
Now thats what im talk'n bout bro,I like it alot!
Kenny yes I got it today. Those little gems will come in handy. If ya ever come across another saw blade like that let me know. Doc I'll weasel one from her as soon as she is done with all the other stuff LOL. I gave in and gave her the knife.... ya know kinda like seeding the field :bigsmyl: Thanks guys.<><
Very nice Frank!!!
I stared out with putting them on with JB weld, after a while did"nt like the dark color.
Then went to soidier much better if you don't mind sanding on front of guard about an hour.
Now learning to press fit.Go very ! very! slow with files. Its great no dark areas and no clean up ;)
Thanks Kevin. BTW I am going to be cutting your bowie this week. That is if everything goes as planned.<><
That is you're coolest so far Frank! WOW!!!!
Thats sweet.
I like it a lot very nice. Well I can not see the pins looks good to me, if it ant broke don't be fix it.

Steve I did nothing to darken the antler. Just the way I gety them.<><
Frank....I've always liked the use of old saw blades now files and rasps...that is just plain cool...every one has a history before you make them into a knife. Got to love that....keep up the good work.....
Frank, when you grind the "Clip" edge so you grind one side or both to the center of the spine?
both sides Steve.<><
I like the knife :clapper: and the side lock pistol.C-Ya Bob
