4 1/2 inch damascus cutting edge, filework on spine, brown Mallee burl from Australia, mosaic 1/4 inch pins.
A real fun knife to build.
Nice,very nice.
I like that, Ray! Especially the slight recurve. A curved edge is always more agressive that a straight edge. That should be one deer dressing beauty!
Nice job Ray!
What Steel is in that beauty

Nice looking pig skinner Ray! With my lack of time I just may have you get you to build me that damascus knife I'm wanting!
1084 and 15N20?
Where's the pic?
its there, Dave. Maybe you should refresh your screen?
It's there now. When I was on earlier there was only a line. Photobucket was probably hiccuping.
Boy, now that's purty!!!!
I LOVE THAT KNIFE! I want one,LOL.
Danny
Ray,
Your making the sheaths too right?
Man those babies are coming along every bit as nice as your knives are!! I just might have to order myself a Damascus knife with sheath before you get so big and famous that I can't afford to.
LOL :biglaugh:
Excellent work Sir!
i really like the looks of that damascus
Mystic,
That is EXACTLY what I did...
Trouble is, the dang thing is so gorgeous I can't bring myself to get it all bloody. I am building up to it though
The sheaths are excellent...Ray made one for one of my other knives off of a sketch and it fits perrrfect.
I just had my Hammond out last night trying out a new sharpening system. Shaves dry hair now.
is that the little knife I held in your shop? ........if,so.....
That thing is even prettier in hand fellas !!
and it wasn't finished then!
Nicely done, Ray!
NO, Billy. That was a 'leaf' blade that was a little more like a bird and trout...the one we matched up with that pretty bog oak from Illinois, right?
